Source: Prince Harry and Prince William “began to heal” after the unveiling of the Princess Diana statue

There is hope for Prince Harry and Prince William to mend their strained relationship.

This claim was made by a source who claimed that the two brothers “turned a new page” after the unveiling of a statue of their late mother Princess Diana on her 60th birthday.

A source claimed to Us Weekly on Wednesday that “William and Harry spent the morning before the statue unveiling old memorabilia, notes from Diana and bonding.”

“They definitely turned a new page in their relationship and started treatment,” the source claimed. “Everyone around them was thrilled to see how close they were on the day the statue was unveiled.”

The brothers put on a united front for a private celebration at Sunken Garden in Kensington Palace, London, a place the princess once found solace. It is only the second time the siblings have appeared in public since Harry, 36, stepped down from his royal duties more than a year ago.

The statue, which shows a larger-than-life Diana surrounded by three children, was commissioned by the brothers in 2017. Her dress style is meant to evoke the last period of her life when she gained confidence in her humanitarian work.

Diana died in 1997 of injuries sustained in a car accident in Paris. She was 36 years old.

“Today, on our mother’s 60th birthday, we remember her love, strength and character – qualities that made her a force for good around the world, and changed countless lives for the better,” William, 39, and Harry said in a joint statement that brought the curtain down. “Every day we wish she was still with us, and we hope that this statue will forever be seen as a symbol of her life and legacy.”

A video clip released after the event showed the two brothers entering the park together before speaking with family members and then pulling two ropes to remove the covering from the statue.

In their only recent appearance together, the couple appeared to be chatting amicably after the funeral of their grandfather, Prince Philip. But subsequent reports indicated that there has been little progress in calming the rift.

Ties between the two brothers have soured painfully in recent months, as William defended the royal family from allegations of racism and insensitivity that Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle, fired from their new southern California home.

Harry gave up his royal duties last year and moved his family to the United States in search of a more peaceful life he could better control. William continued his royal life and the endless demands that accompany his role as second in line to the throne.

The relationship became even more strained in March when Harry and Markle, 39, gave an interview with Oprah Winfrey in March that was watched by nearly 50 million people globally.

Harry confirmed rumors that he and his brother were estranged from each other, saying “the relationship is ‘space’ right now” – although he added that “time heals all things, hopefully” Harry also told Winfrey, 67, that his father, Prince Charles, he did not accept his calls for some time.

The couple revealed that before the birth of their first child, an anonymous member of the royal family expressed concern about how dark his skin was. Days after the broadcast, William responded to questions from reporters, saying, “We’re not a very racist family.”

Stuart Pierce, Diana’s voice coach, told Fox News he believes William and Harry are on the path to reconciliation.

Pierce, who worked with Margaret Thatcher and the Royal Shakespeare Company before befriending the Princess of Wales, recently wrote a book about their work together called Diana the Voice of Change. He explores her life principles and how she became a “liberating force” as a member of the British royal family.

Despite rumors of an alleged feud between the two brothers, Pierce insisted that “there is no disagreement”.

“There was a quarrel between two brothers—this is not a quarrel or a quarrel or a fight,” Pierce said. “Brothers disagree … They are using their power. And people are angry because the British heritage is changing. Well, of course, it needs to change.”

“They are removing themselves from the private mystery that the royal family has long supported,” he continued. “It’s a pity that it’s being shown in a certain way, and that we’re hearing more and more distant royal watchers. But I think there’s something to be addressed as they move into that area.”

Markle, the former American actress, became the Duchess of Sussex when she married Harry in May 2018 at Windsor Castle. The couple welcomed a son named Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor in 2019.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s departure from royal duties began in 2020 due to what they describe as British media interference and racist attitudes towards the former “Suits” star. The family now resides in the coastal city of Montecito, California.

On June 4, the couple welcomed their second child, a daughter named Lillibet “Lily” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. The child is eighth in line to the British throne.

The name pays tribute to both Harry’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, whose family surname is Lilibet, and his late mother.
