An amber alert was issued in multiple states, including Pennsylvania, to two-year-old Sebastian Rios and his mother, Yasmin Uyar, on Friday after they were kidnapped by the boy’s father, 27-year-old Tyler Rios.
On Saturday, state police announced they were canceling their alert after finding that Sebastian was safe in Monterey, Tennessee.
Police arrested Tyler Rios shortly thereafter.

But the mother was still missing early Saturday, and her body was later found in a wooded area off I-40.
Tyler Rios faces first-degree kidnapping charges, and officials say additional charges will follow in connection with Oyar’s death.
Robert Grady, the assistant district attorney for Union County, said police began searching for the whereabouts of Sebastian Rios and Uyar after he failed to make it to nursery school and didn’t show up for her usual shift.
From there, police stopped for a welfare check at Oyar’s home Friday morning but found no one inside, setting off an Amber alarm.
Tyler Rios will be extradited to New Jersey.
