A massive leak suggests that Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked phone may bring new foldables, smartwatches and earphones

We may now know a lot more about what will happen at Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event thanks to a series of tweets from popular leaker Evan Blass. Looks like the event could be big, as Blass tweeted a long thread with GIFs of two new Galaxy foldables, a new Galaxy FE phone, two new Galaxy watches, and even a new batch of Galaxy Buds. He also said that the event will take place one month from now on August 11.

First, the folds. Blass has already leaked what appear to be official renders of the rumored Galaxy Z Fold 3 (which could support the S Pen) and Galaxy Z Flip 3, but new GIFs he’s shared give a look at both devices from all angles.

Here’s the Z Fold 3, in which Blass shared black and white GIFs:

And here’s the Z Flip 3, which Blass tweeted in purple, black, gold, and green:

The Blass Indicator also includes GIFs of what is rumored to be the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE in white, yellow grey, purple and black. If the phone is released, it will likely be a mid-range version of the S21 and seems to take a lot of design inspiration from Samsung’s flagship (like how the S20 FE looked similar to the S20).

Whether or not this phone was in production was an open question; In June, in response to a report claiming that Samsung had halted production of the phone, Samsung said that “nothing has been determined regarding the alleged production halt.” These GIFs from Blass may be a sign that the phone is ready to use.

But Blass not only shared GIFs for phones — he also tweeted GIFs of two new Samsung watches. One model appears to closely match rumors about the Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 Classic, with what appears to be a rotating bezel and two buttons on the right side. The watch, which Blass tweeted in white, black and gray, is also expected to power Google and Samsung’s new smartwatch platform.

The other watch shared by Blass appears to match the rumored Galaxy Watch Active 4. This watch does not appear to have a rotating bezel, and according to OnLeaks and GizNext, it may come in two different sizes: 44mm and 40mm. Blass shared GIFs of the watch in gray, dark green, white, and peach, and two tweets of a black watch (although I can’t tell them apart besides what’s on screen).

Blass’ GIF theme also reveals three colors of unannounced Galaxy Buds that match the rumored Galaxy Buds 2, which according to Ice Universe, will include active noise cancellation. GIFs of the Blass show the buds and the white inner canister in grey, purple, and white, consistent with a leaked render pattern shared by 91mobiles that showed green, black, and white inner canister/bud assemblies.

Finally, let’s quickly talk about that rumored date, August 11, which seems to me to be the date you might want to circle on your calendar. When Samsung showcased the smartwatch platform it was developing with Google at the end of June, it said there would be an Unpacked event “later this summer,” so August 11th would fall on that schedule. The company has hosted Summer Unpacked events in early August for a few years now, which means August 11th isn’t going to be out of style.

Since Samsung hasn’t officially announced any of these products or an event date, there’s always a chance that what’s leaked from Blass won’t actually come out. But looking at Blass’ previous record and the details of the GIFs he’s shared, it seems likely he’s revealed some of the biggest news from Samsung’s upcoming Unpacked event.
