Ingraham slams Biden’s speech on voter rights in Philadelphia: ‘As usual, liberals are at war with facts’

In response to President Joe Biden’s speech Tuesday about protecting voting rights in Philadelphia, Fox News anchor Laura Ingraham blasted the president on the Ingraham Angel Show, claiming that “as usual, liberals are at war with facts” and that Biden was “fair.” He reads any script handed to him by his writers.”

During his speech, Biden called the “attack on free and fair elections” a “threat” and claimed Americans face “the most important test of democracy since the Civil War.” Biden went on to specifically call on the Texas legislature to push them to reform new voters.

“In Texas, for example, the Republican-led state legislature wants to allow partisan poll watchers to intimidate voters and endanger neutral poll workers,” he said. They want to make it so difficult and convenient that they hope people won’t vote at all.”

Ingraham responded to Biden’s comments by asking whether allowing “the extra hour of early voting needed in Texas” was an assault on democracy. She also noted that the increase would put the voting window in Texas “two to three hours longer than Delaware, Joe’s home state.”

Ingraham went on to point out the hypocrisy in the president’s statements about “partisan poll watchers,” arguing that some of his claims about the Texas legislation are “lies.”

“I think I counted four, maybe five lies there,” Ingraham said. “But for the record, Texas law gives poll watchers freedom of movement, except of course, contrary to Biden’s claim, not when voters fill out ballots.” “Forcing the poll monitors to stand at a distance so that they cannot reasonably observe the process would be a criminal offense. You should watch for potential fraud.”

Ingraham also ignited Biden’s claims that the Texas bill aims to “make it more difficult ‘for Americans to vote,'” and that if you vote, they want to be able to tell you that your vote doesn’t matter for any reason.

“Very dramatic, and totally wrong,” she said. “As we noted last week, a Texas bill is to expand voting hours for all registered voters. And the bill lowers the population threshold needed for counties to provide additional early voting hours.”

“The Democrats want to rig every future election to make the governor’s victory almost impossible again,” Ingraham said. “They are now effectively arguing that the very voting rules that won two state victories for Bill Clinton and Barack Obama are basically the same as Jim Crow 2.0.”

“So this really leaves them with only one option on their mind, which is to propagate racial fear in almost everything around them. We already know what they are doing in our schools, our workplaces, the military, and even now our voting system.”
