The band was scheduled to perform at the Los Angeles Forum on Saturday.

On Wednesday, they announced via their verified Twitter account: “Despite every effort to follow CDC COVID protocols and local laws, a case of COVID-19 has been confirmed within the Foo Fighters.

“Out of great caution and concern for the safety of the band, crew and most fans, the Saturdays Show at the Los Angeles Forum has been postponed to a later date,” the tweet read. “The new date will be announced soon. Tickets for July 17 will be honored on the new date.”

It was not revealed who tested positive. CNN has reached out to band representatives for more information and comment.

In June, the band held a concert at Madison Square Garden in New York City which was described as intended only for the vaccinated audience.

It was the arena’s first 100% concert since the start of the pandemic and many hailed it as a return to normalcy in the hard-hit music industry.

The venue has a capacity of 19,500 residents, according to the Madison Square Garden website. .
