Space Jam: A New Legacy is not the sequel we were hoping for. Its predecessor wasn’t a masterpiece, but it sure was fun. However, the plot of this cute sequel that involves LeBron James facing off against a conscious algorithm called Al G. Rhythm is downright painful. The main source of the fun is LeBron and the gang’s interactions with characters outside of the Looney Tunes universe – even if it’s a movie that’s essentially a very long-running commercial for Warner Bros. intellectual property. Discovery.

Among those cameos, the degenerates of the A Clockwork Orange droogs (who raped and shit up people with their sticks for fun in the Stanley Kubrick movie), who appeared in the crowd at the sensational basketball game between Tune Squad and Goon’s squad. Elsewhere in the movie, you’ll find Jane from What Ever Happened To Baby Jane? and Dr. Evil from the Austin Powers movies, Wonder Woman, one of Daenerys’ dragons from Game Of Thrones… and Rick Sanchez and Morty Smith.

Word of that latest headline spread on Twitter this morning, after Space Jam: A New Legacy became available on HBO Max. In a scene where LeBron and Bugs Bunny are looking for more members to join the Tune Squad squad, Rick and Morty take down the Tasmanian Devil, and Rick says, “We’re done auditions on your badger thing. It turns out his condition is irreversible.” Morty adds, “I will never erase what I saw from my mind.” Rick can’t say “fuck” or “shit”, so he goes on to insult PG itself as “dum-dums”. And don’t count on seeing Rick drunk; It looks very discreet for once.

If you want to skip straight to Rick and Morty’s appearance in Space Jam: A New Legacy, it takes place roughly 40 minutes and 50 seconds into the movie — shortly after LeBron and Bugs pull Yosemite Sam from Casablanca.
