Authorities said Saturday that another victim has been identified in the collapse of a 12-story apartment building in Florida that killed at least 97 people.
The Miami-Dade Police Department said in a press release that Teresa Velasquez, 36, was a confirmed death in the June 24 Champlain Towers South apartment collapse. Her body was recovered on 8 July.
Police said she became the 95th dead in the collapse.
The Miami Herald previously reported that Velasquez was a Los Angeles-based CEO of Live Nation event promotion company. She had flown to Miami to visit her parents at their Surfside apartment, both of whom also died in the meltdown.
The bodies of Julio and Angela Velasquez were found and identified earlier.
Recovery efforts at the apartment site are slowly fading, and there may still be another body buried under the rubble.
The judge also considers what to do on the construction site. Among the suggestions are the direct sale of property, government purchase to build a monument, or a combination of the two.
