As Britney’s battle to maintain guardianship continues, Jamie Lynn has remained fairly quiet, making only vague statements about how she wants her sister to be happy.

Jamie Lynn, 30, starred on Nickelodeon’s “Zoey 101” until 2007, when she became pregnant. She gave birth to daughter Madison in 2008, and remained out of the limelight until 2013, when she collaborated with Britney on a track from Britney’s album.

Now, the Spears family court battle has caused some Britney fans to speculate about Jamie Lynn’s role in the save that Britney called “abusive,” especially since Britney publicly called Jamie Lynn in an encrypted Instagram post.

But Jamie Lynn released a story on Instagram stating, “I can assure you I supported my sister long before there was a hashtag and will support her long after. I mean I’ve worked since I was 9 and paid my own bills since I was 10, It’s not because I owe the public anything because my sister knows I love and support her and that’s the only person I owe anything to. I’m not my family. I’m personal. I talk to myself.”

Jamie Lynn is the only immediate family member who isn’t on Britney’s payroll, according to The New Yorker. However, it seems Britney does not feel the support of her younger sister.

“There is nothing worse than people close to you who have never attended to you posting things about your situation no matter what and speaking up honestly for support,” Britney wrote on Instagram. “There is nothing worse than that!!!!”

Although she didn’t call out Jamie Lynn directly in this post, she wrote in her next Instagram post, “I don’t like my sister appearing at an awards show and performing songs from the edited songs.”[.] The so-called support system really hurt me[.]”

Jamie Lynn hasn’t reached out to her sister publicly and instead posted a story on Instagram saying, “Feeling solid and stable on this beautiful Saturday.”

In the end, it seems like Jamie Lynn wants to be left alone on the matter, not taking sides between her sister and her father.

Jamie Lynn stated on social media, “Since the day I was born, I’ve loved, adored and just supported my sister. I mean this is my scary big sister, before any of those bulls…cares if she wants to escape into a rainforest and has a good number of The kids are in the middle of nowhere, or if she wants to go back and take over the world the way she’s done so many times before, because I have nothing to gain or lose either way.”
