RIP Galaxy Note 21? Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 will launch in August, hints at Unpacked call

[ad_1]

The next Samsung Unpacked event will officially take place on August 11, the company confirmed, with a hypothetical event starting at 10AM EDT / 7AM PDT.

Customers can also reserve Samsung’s next flagship phone via the Reserve Now website, though the company hasn’t said what the phone will be. (The rumors refer to the Samsung Galaxy S21 FE, although the company could freely use the word “phone” and refer to the foldable Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3, and also hinted that it would come at the event.)

In fact, Samsung hasn’t confirmed anything rumored to be coming at the event, so we’re left to speculate. Of course, we have months of rumors and leaks to back up our predictions of what could be revealed at the biggest multi-device launch event since the Samsung Galaxy S21 range was unveiled in January.

What might come in Samsung Unpacked on August 11th?

This leaves us wondering what will be revealed at Samsung Unpacked, which promises to be a major event for the company’s hardware. We’re expecting the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 3 to be the centerpiece, as a teaser suggested, although that might not be for foldable devices – there are also rumors that the foldable Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 is likely slated for late 2020. 2021 launch date, which suggests it could be shown at the event as well.

A Samsung Galaxy Watch 4 is also rumored to appear at the event, though reports differ on whether we’ll see the affordable flagship Samsung Galaxy S21 FE launch during Unpacked as well. Given Samsung’s pre-order tip, we’re guessing this phone will be on the Samsung Galaxy Note 21, given all the rumors about the latter’s being scrapped.
