The quake was felt in Bikaner and adjacent areas of Rajasthan on Wednesday after a moderate-intensity quake hit Pakistan. The epicenter of the 5.3-magnitude earthquake was in Pakistan, said JL Gautam, chief of operations at the National Seismology Centre.
According to the National Statistics Center, the earthquake occurred at 5.24 am at a depth of 110 kilometers. The tremors lasted a few seconds, and no damage was reported in the state.
The epicenter was 343 km west-northwest of Bikaner and 439 km northwest of Jodhpur.
