Magnitude 6.9 earthquake strikes near Panama – Musk

July 21 (Reuters) – An earthquake of magnitude 6.9 occurred near Panama on Wednesday, the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center said.

The quake occurred at a depth of two kilometers, and struck about 321 kilometers southeast of San Jose in Costa Rica.

The US National Tsunami Warning Center said a tsunami was not expected.

Another earthquake measuring 6.3 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 22 kilometers, also struck near Panama, EMSC said.
