[ad_1]

Barring an epic meltdown over the next week and a half, the Giants will be one of the best teams in baseball by the July 29 trading deadline.

This level of success has surprised many around baseball, and now the Giants find themselves in a position to add to their roster.

District Baseball President Farhan Zaidi and General Manager Scott Harris may be targeted to start the promotion.

The San Francisco Chronicle’s Susan Sluser reported Wednesday, citing industry sources, that Danny Duffy, who started the Kansas City Royals’ bowling, has caught the giants’ interest.

In the 61 innings held this season, Duffy was 4-3 with a 2.51 ERA with 65 strikes and 22 walks.

All things considered, Duffy was solid. catch? He’s currently on the tendon strain list and isn’t expected to return until early August.

If the Giants were to make a daffy deal, they would be ceding assets to a bowler who doesn’t start for them right away. Although the injury could allow the Giants to get Daffy at a discount.

In addition to the Giants, Slusser reports that both the San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers have expressed interest in Duffy as well, which will make him a hot commodity in NL West.

The current injured Duffy may not quite deter the Giants, and if he is able to come back and produce as he did before the injury, the Giants could get a lot of value from the veteran bowler who played his entire 11-year career with the Royal Family.
