Dune’s new trailer kicks off some rendering from Zendaya’s Chani.

The stunning new trailer for Dune was released Thursday, revealing more upcoming adaptation of Frank Herbert’s epic 1965 sci-fi novel. The movie hits theaters and HBO Max on October 22, and fans across the U.S. get to watch the first 10 Minutes in IMAX preview events.
The film tells the story of the battle for control of the dusty desert planet Arrakis, the only source of the highly valuable spice (also known as blend). This drug can extend human life, provide superhuman levels of thinking and allow travel faster than light
The star-studded cast includes Timothée Chalamet as hero Paul Atreides, along with (Deep Breath) Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Charlotte Rampling, Dave Bautista, Jason Momoa, Javier Bardem, Josh Brolin, and Stellan Skarsgård.

The film was last seen nearly a year ago, as it was pushed back from its December 2020 release date due to the pandemic.
The film is directed by Academy Award-winning Denis Villeneuve, which includes his previous work on science fiction Incredible Access and Blade Runner 2049. He wasn’t happy with Warner Bros.’ decision to release the film on HBO Max, writing in Variety that he wouldn’t have a chance of earning enough money and that the studio “may have wiped out the Dune franchise.” A sequel is planned to complete the storyline of Herbert’s novel, as well as the spinoff television series Dune: The Sisterhood.
