Border Patrol agents intercepted a group of about 200 immigrants in Arizona near the Mexican border — 147 of whom were children.

US Customs and Border Protection officials said in a statement that the migrants were detained near San Miguel, about five miles from the border, around 7:15 a.m. Wednesday.

The agency said the children were mostly unaccompanied and Guatemalan.

Authorities said the group had crossed the border illegally.

The incident came two days after another convoy of 48 immigrants stopped near Sasabi, Arizona, including 39 minors aged 5 to 17 – 27 of whom were from Guatemala.

The statement said the two groups had been transferred to the Border Patrol’s Tucson Sector Processing Center.

By the end of June, more than 13,600 unaccompanied migrant children had been abducted after crossing the border illegally this year – an increase of 189 percent from last year.

Officials in the Tucson office did not immediately respond to a request from The Post on Thursday for comment and additional details.
