Ingraham: Biden’s CNN City Council was ‘a pathetic exercise of fawning and absurdity’

Fox News host Laura Ingraham set fire to President Joe Biden’s performance at CNN’s town hall on Wednesday night, calling the event a “pathetic exercise of fawning and futility.”

On Thursday, Ingraham argued in “The Ingraham Corner” that Americans saw our nation’s leader “embarrassing himself with a mixture of lies, obfuscation, and willful ignorance.”

“CNN Town Hall on Wednesday with Biden was a pathetic exercise of cajoling and absurdity,” she said. “I was about to skip the full autopsy tonight, but then changed my mind. During the 90-minute event, it hurt. We saw a sitting president embarrassing himself with a mixture of lies, obfuscation and willful ignorance. I watched a TV host nodded as the sad scene began.”

Ingraham also criticized CNN’s Don Lemon, claiming that given the many crises and challenges facing the country, the city hall host “could have done a massive public service by asking hard and fair questions.”

Ingraham added that Lemon has emerged more as the president’s “assistant living assistant” as he struggles to put his ideas into words.

“Now, at a time of enormous economic health and national security challenges facing the United States, Don Lemon could have performed a massive public service by asking hard and fair questions all the time,” she said. “But instead, most of the time, he looked like a living assistant. Now, there’s no nice way to put this. I’m sorry, but Joe Biden lost it. Rarely is he able to start and end a thought without sort of wandering into some shadow that Does not make sense “.

Ingraham went on to claim that the media was “respectfully covering up” President Biden and “unwilling to subject him to the same brutal standards they considered Trump” as evidenced by Wednesday’s City Hall performance and subsequent reaction.

“Biden is going back but having a hard time responding to the present,” Ingraham stated. “So do the media, which gleefully covers him and is unwilling to hold him to the same brutal standards that Trump has imposed on them.”

“CNN discredited it, and last night, despite all the reinforcement, production, and hype, Biden and Lemon lost their time. Incidentally, they lost over half a million viewers to this show, even though we’re airing two hours later.”
