Lance Bass lends his support to Britney Spears as she struggles against her guardianship.
The 42-year-old NSYNC star spoke with “Real Housewives” star Heather Dubrow on her podcast Friday about his relationship with the pop star, 39.
“I haven’t spoken to her in years,” Bass claimed. “We’ve been away from each other for a long time.” “I don’t know exactly what you need but I know it’s for me – [from] What I see – sane enough to choose her people.”
“I think she needs to get away from her father,” he continued. “She needs to choose her own staff who will administer this guardianship, even if she does need one, especially when choosing her attorney. For me, there is a bigger picture here… The main thing I am concerned about is the court systems and this judge. If that is really true. ‘We have to look at this judge, right? Because that means they are corrupt. I don’t know, it’s scary.'”

The “Toxic” singer is currently trying to remove her father, Jamie Spears, from his 13-year guardianship period. In a recent court hearing, she expressed her desire to “accuse him of mistreatment of guardianship”.

In September 2019, Jamie, 69, resigned as Spurs’ bodyguard for health reasons, and Jodi Montgomery was appointed in his place. Jamie is still Spears’ governor of the estate.
Back on June 23, Spears testified about guardianship at a court hearing in Los Angeles.

She called the guardianship “abusive”, and claimed that it prevented her from getting married and prevented her from having an IUD removed to have more children. She also alleged that she was forced to take mental health medications and perform on stage against her will.
Earlier this month, Spears was granted permission to appoint her “own” attorney, at the request of her mother, Lynne Spears. Spears hired Matthew Rosengart as its new attorney.

In a brief hearing on Monday, Rosengart claimed his team is “moving hard and fast” to get Jimmy out of conservatorship.
