Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday compared the Opposition alliance Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) with the East India Company, Indian Mujahideen and Popular Front of India (PFI) to emphasize that people cannot be fooled just by invoking the name of the country. Taking a jibe at the Opposition alliance, PM Modi said the East India Company, Indian Mujahideen and PFI, are also using India in their names.

East India Company, PFI, Indian Mujaheddin who also use India in their name. Chere par chere laga lete hai logFrom the behavior of the Opposition, it seems that they have decided to stay in the Opposition. We have to work for public interest and move forward,” said PM Modi.

The remarks came at a parliamentary meeting of the party on Tuesday, days after the Opposition group insisted that 2024 would see the BJP fight against INDIA. Modi disputed the assertion, maintaining that the frustrated and frustrated Opposition had decided to stick to its current position.

The statements were also confirmed by former Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad and BJP leader Ramesh Bidhuri.

Sources close to the development said, with opposition parties rallying in the name of their ‘INDIA’, Modi hit back at them saying it was just an attempt to mislead people.

He took the names of some organizations with the name ‘India’ to say that just having such a term in their nomenclature does not change anything, sources said.

Justifying the comments, BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad said, PM Modi gave a statement that the Indian National Congress, East India Company was founded by a foreigner. Today people use names like Indian Mujahideen and Indian People’s Front. Something at face value may be different from something that is actually true.

BJP parliamentary party meeting

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday morning held a parliamentary party meeting to chalk out the strategy for the Monsoon Session of the Lok Sabha.

PM Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and Railway Minister Ashwani Vaishanaw attended the meeting.

Both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha were adjourned on Monday amid riotous scenes with the Opposition demanding the prime minister’s statement on the violence in Manipur.

The first two days of the monsoon session last week saw similar chaos leading to almost zero functioning of Parliament.

The Monsoon Session, which began on July 20, with a long list of legislative business on the agenda, saw repeated adjournments in the face of Opposition protests, sloganeering, and agitation by members of the new opposition alliance over its demand for a statement from PM Modi on the situation in Manipur.ing
