The Taliban will determine the future of Afghanistan

The Turkish president said on Wednesday that he would determine the future of Afghanistan, not the actions and words of the Taliban.

Addressing the ambassadors at a ceremony marking the 950th anniversary of the Battle of Malazgirt, which marked the beginning of the first Turkish settlements in Anatolia, Recep Tayyip Erdogan said the Turkish government was still cautiously optimistic about messages from Taliban leaders.

Stressing the importance of achieving stability in Afghanistan, Erdogan said that Ankara continues to have a close dialogue with all parties in the country for this purpose.

He stressed the need to establish an all-inclusive government in Afghanistan, and said that the priority in a war-torn country was to fill the power gap to ensure public safety and normalization.

Touching on Afghanistan’s urgent needs, including food, the Turkish president said the coronavirus pandemic, drought and financial problems had hit the public hard.

He said the international community should help Afghanistan in these difficult times and show solidarity regardless of who rules the country.

He said Turkish soldiers and diplomats were making extraordinary efforts to maintain order at the airport and continue evacuation operations.

Refugees

Speaking about refugees, Kalin said: We have taken new measures to prevent illegal migration. Turkey is nobodymigrationwarehouse.

He called on the international community to take responsibility for migration, noting that in the event of a wave of migration, primarily neighboring and neighboring countries will be affected.

Turkey has done its part on migration and refugees. After that, it is neither possible nor likely to buy a new load.
