Recep Tayyip Erdogan returns from his tour to the Gulf countries fully satisfied. The Turkish president also visited Qatar, where he has maintained close diplomatic and economic relations for a long time. But what he was most looking forward to were visits to Saudi Arabia and the Emirates.
Fresh air for Turkish economy
These multi-billion contracts, hailed for the Turkish economy, which has been very fragile in recent years, seal the reconciliation between Ankara and these two monarchies. Three years ago, Recep Tayyip Erdogan accused the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, of ordering the murder of a journalist.
