President Recep Tayyip Erdogan will meet Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas for bilateral talks on Tuesday.
Abbas and Erdogan will discuss Turkish-Palestinian bilateral relations and discuss steps to be taken to further expand cooperation.
The two leaders will also focus on recent developments in Palestinian relations with Israel, as well as regional and global events.
Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will also visit Turkey on July 28 at the invitation of Erdogan.
Turkey supports the settlement of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict based on the resolutions of the UN Security Council through negotiations, which will ensure that the two states live side by side within safe and recognized borders.
Despite the recent rapprochement with Israel, Turkish officials continue to criticize Israel’s policies targeting Palestinians, including illegal settlements in the occupied West Bank and East Jerusalem and the humanitarian situation in Gaza.
Despite Turkey’s efforts to normalize relations with Israel, Ankara said there will be no change in its attitude towards the Palestinians.
