Magusa Municipality calls on people to support the July 19 demo

Magusa Municipality, on Tuesday, invited refugees from the occupied town, and everyone joined them in a protest in Dheriniya against the Turkish actions in Varosha on Monday evening, July 19.

The protest comes ahead of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s July 20 visit to the north and statements about Varosha.

According to the municipality, the whole of Cyprus should be there.

He added that people from all regions, from Nicosia, Papas, Limassolia, Larnaca, Morpho and Girne, are all Magustus.

A statement from the municipality said that Erdogan had no say in Famagusta and that we should all be there to say that Cyprus did not belong to him.

He added that the message should be heard by the world’s strongest, but also that the EU and the UN have and will remain one of Cyprus, the division of the island and the two-state solution pursued by Turkey. a choice.

The protest will take place on Monday, July 19 at 7 pm at the Famagusta Municipal Cultural Center in Dheriniya.

Bus transport from Nicosia, Limassol and Larnaca will be organized.

Buses from Nicosia will depart from the Cyprus Handicrafts Center (Athalassa Avenue, 186, Dasoupolis) at 17.30.

Buses from Limassol will depart from the offices of the municipality of Famagusta at 17:15 (138 Archbishop Makarios Avenue).

Buses from Larnaca will depart from the new GSZ stadium stop next to the pavilion at 5.30pm.
