Kerry Kiddoo – field hockey coach

Kerry Kiddo was named Hofstra Field Hockey Assistant Coach in July 2021.

Kiddoo was a four-year Pride correspondent from 2009-2012. During his four-year career at Pride, Kiddoo started all 79 games he played in defense, and helped Pride on three trips to the CAA Championships and two CAA Championship Semifinal appearances. As a student at Hofstra, Kiddoo was a double member of the NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad and was a four-time CAA Commissioners Academic Honor Roll and Hofstra Athletics Honor Roll Award.

Kiddoo returns to his alma mater with coaching experience on a collegiate level. His most recent coaching stop was as an assistant coach at the University of Delaware. Fighting with Blue Hens during the 2019 season, Kiddoo was the teams ’primary defensive coach and was responsible for coordinating Delawares’ domestic recruitment, technical and tactical training plans, video analysis, alumni relations and student-athlete development.

During Kiddoos ’Delaware season, Fight’s Blue Hens completed the 2019 season overall with a 16-4 and full 6-0 record in the Colonial Athletic Association. Delaware won the eighth CAA championship of the programs and made it to the NCAA tournament.

Prior to working at Delavare, Kiddoo was an assistant coach at Appalachian State University from 2015-2019. With mountaineers, Kiddoo was the teams ’primary goalkeeper coach and was responsible for video analysis, travel accommodations, recruitment, alumni relations and fundraising. Kiddoo helped guide the state of the Appalachians to two appearances at the MAC Championships.

U.S. Field Hockey Level II Certified Coach Kiddoo was the U.S. Field Hockey Olympic Development Tube Coach from 2017-2020 and worked with countless youth and youth Olympic teams on the U.S. Field Hockey. He also brings coaching experience from Limestone College, the Carolina All-Stars Field Hockey Club, the Empower Field Hockey Club and numerous clinics and camps around the country.

Born in North Carolina, Chapel Hill, Kiddoo, graduated from Hofstra University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in public relations with minor sociology.
