Cricket has taken a step closer to joining the 2028 Los Angeles Games.
Sporting inclusion has been opposed historically, and India is leading the opposition worried about the international timetable, but now they have joined.
Times understands the members of the International Cricket Council that gaining Olympic status in time by 2028 could open up untapped markets in the United States. It would also provide an opportunity to promote women’s cricket. There are still a number of obstacles that need to be overcome, as both the IOC and LA 2028 must accept the inclusion of sport.
