Vaughn deserves a nod on the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Watchlist

MANHATTAN, Kan. A Kansas State student returns Deuce Vaughn has earned its place on its third pre-season watch list in 2021 when it was shortlisted for the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Awards, SPORTyler announced Thursday.

The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Award recognizes the nation’s offensive player of the year with ties to the state of Texas, either born in Texas and / or graduated from Texas High School and / or played at a junior high school or four-year college in Texas.

Vaughn was one of 13 semi-finalists to receive the award as a true freshman in 2020, when 247Sports selected him as the national true freshman of the year, an honorable mention of several outlets and the Big 12 Offensive All-American and Freshman All-American. Freshman of the year.

In Round Rock, Texas, product Vaughn crashed last season by 642 yards and seven taps with 123 shipments.
