Randy Arozarena absent for COVID reasons

The rays will be left without the hottest attacker at least in the first game of the weekend series against Orioles.

Field player Randy Arozarena, who has been in tears for two weeks and crushed Orioles all season, was added to the list of injured in COVID-19 on Friday, according to the team due to close contact.

The lists related to COVID topics do not include a minimum length, and the wording provided by the team does not provide much context for the situation or the state of Arozarenas. He left the Spring 2.0 training camp in July 2020 and the beginning of last season because he had COVID-19.

Rays invited field player Jordan Luplow, who was acquired from Cleveland on July 30th. He is a right-handed striker known to strike well against leftists, and the Orioles will start left-wing John Means tonight.

But Rays misses Arozarena, the 2020 post-season breakout star who has been on a hectic leg and hit .404 (23:57) in his last 14 games with 12 extra hits (including six homers), 11 RBIs and 1,285 OPS.

In addition, he has celebrated all season on the Orioles pitches and hit .459 (17:37) in eight games with 10 extra hits (including seven homers), 16 RBIs and 1,582 OPS

Rays will start Ryan Yarbrough tonight at Camden Yards.

Also note: Lefty Brendan McKay, who has been working back since 2020 on shoulder surgery, was activated from the Triple-A injured list and transferred to Double-A Montgomery, where he will start tonight.
