Tokyo Olympics 2020: Edinburgh’s Josh Kerr wins a magnificent bronze at 1,500 meters

Edinburgh’s 23-year-old ran a three-minute 29.05-second personal record to be placed behind Norways Jakob Ingebrigtsen and Kenyas Timothy Cheruiyot.

Kerrs teammates Jake Heyward and Jake Wightman finished ninth and tenth at the Olympic Stadium.

Kerr performed a brilliant run that prevented Kenyas Abel Kipsang’s challenge at home directly and almost renovated the Cheruiyot line.
