Shiv Sena compares CM Uddhav Thackerays’ son Tejas to cricket legend Vivian Richards

A new debate has begun in Maharashtra’s political circle after Prime Minister Uddhav Thackerays ’OSD and close shop steward Milind Narvekar, when he wished CM’s younger son Tejas on his birthday on Saturday compared to cricket legend Vivian Richards. It also led to speculation about his possible political debut in the near future, especially before the upcoming BrihanMumbai Municipal Corporation election. However, the party is silent about Tejas joining active politics.

Narvekar, who is also Shiv Sena’s secretary, has published a front page ad in the party’s mouthpiece, Samaana, comparing Tejas to “Vivian Richards of the Thackeray family”. The ad features a bearded Tejas image and Richards image in his popular cricket position.

Narvekar told the TV channel that an advertisement printed in Saamna should not be associated with politics because it is a family matter. “Aaditya Thackeray has the qualities of Sunil Gavaskar. She has patience. On the other hand, Tejas is as aggressive and determined as Richards,” he noted.

In 2015, Tejas discovered a new snake species in Maharashtra and named it the Thackerays cat snake.
