NBA rumors: Warriors split into Ben Simmons-Draymond Green deal

It’s incredibly hard to imagine a scenario where Ben Simmons plays for the Philadelphia 76ers next season. There is too much constant friction. It has passed its return point.

Simmons and Sixers both seem to know it. The problem is that they have decided to get him fair value in return, but their perception of fair value there is much more than any team is willing to offer. If they sell Simmons now, they will sell it at the bottom. You can see why the Sixers may not want to trade with him yet, but the reality of the situation seems likely to force their hands sooner rather than later.

Warriors, as always in the case of a potentially available big name, are naturally interested in acquiring Simmons, provided it is at a price they can swallow. But in addition to the difficulty of building a trade that works for both parties, there is the question of whether it fits into the heart of the Simmons Warriors dynasty, and alongside Draymond Green in particular. While both players are unique in their ability to influence the game in so many ways, they are also both below average shooters, which can prove problematic if they combine.

There is, of course, another side to the coin, which is probably the reason why Golden State would be interested in Simmons. ESPN’s Zach Lowe highlighted why his elite playground and defensive capabilities were justified, why a Simmons-Green front mating could work.

“I think the Warriors internally disagree about Simmons’ possible compatibility with Draymond Green, ”Lowe said on Tuesday in the“ Lowe Post ”podcast. “Do you agree?”
