Florida State Football Training Updates: August 14th

After the first week of fall camp, some things can be picked up and other questions arise.

Quarters, wide receivers, line of attack Question marks exist, but the stars began to brighten last week before tonight’s fight. As expected, the defense has been dominant and that is a good thing. These first exercises are aimed at putting the offense into the worst possible situations, emphasizing a line of attack that stays in place.

The story may have changed as Florida State Seminoles traveled to the University of North Florida to practice in an unfamiliar area and simulate a road experience for the coming season.

Fast runners Lawrence Toafili and Treshaun Ward were impressed with their ability to break out. Opponent Jordan Travis has shown a huge leap in his game, but he still has to work on mechanics to gain more control over his throws rather than exceed his goals.

One of the biggest improvements to the spacious receiver room is Keyshawn Helton. Playing a serious injury last year, he and other broad-minded people like Andrew Parchment and Malik McClain continue to show lightning-supporting freshman Joshua Burrell.

The story of the talented walk from Treshaun Ward is still told, he has been a consistent presence in the attack built on the playmakers.

Defensive defender Meiko Dotson locked everything in 11 of 11 this weekend in Jacksonville. Defensive defender Jarvis Brownlee Jr. was always in the right place to support the run, and defensive Brendan Gant plays physically, throwing potential wide receivers out of his way and mixing the timing and consistency of the passes.

Other noteworthy exercises this weekend include defending defender Jadarius Green-McKnight, defending defender Hunter Washington, and Shyheim Browns ’ability to cover distance quickly.
