FOXBOROUGH (AP) Adam Buksa scored two goals, Tajon Buchanan and Emmanuel Boateng added a goal and a feed game, and MLS-leading New England Revolution defeated FC Cincinnati on Saturday night 4-1.
New England (15-3-4) have won seven of their last nine matches, the last four in a row. The revolution has 49 points after 22 matches and is the steadiest at this point in the season in MLS history with 2019 Los Angeles FC.
The ball was then played back to Henry Kessler who let the ball run and Przemyslaw Tyton hit it well enough, but Buchanan flew at that one to keep it out. Boatengs volley of Buchanans cross made it 2-0.
22-year-old Buchanan have scored in every last three matches.
Buksa, on the left side of the box, took Boateng’s pass, fell and quickly got up and then cut back to rotate the defender before throwing a side pass in the 33rd minute. Heslid controlled Gustavo Boun’s low center and gave New England a 4-1 lead in the 61st minute.
Brenner Souza da Silva scored a goal for Cincinnat in the 54th minute. It has two goals and has been suspended four times in the last six games.
