London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea are facing each other at the Emirates this afternoon — and both sides can hardly come to a more opposing form.
The gunners got their season to the worst possible start on Friday night when the newly raised Brentford humiliated them 2-0, leaving manager Mikel Arteta already under pressure and the work now even harder after signing 50 meters with Ben White out of Covid-19.
Chelsea, on the other hand, will become European champions after adding to the success of the UEFA Super Cup Champions League and cruising to a 3-0 win over Crystal Palace on the opening weekend.
The atmosphere at Steluford Bridge has been further boosted by Romelu Lukaku’s tent writing earlier this week. The striker returns to his former club after succeeding at Inter Milan.
Arsenal have also been busy out the window this week as Aaron Ramsdale is brought in from Sheffield United and Martin Odegaard returns to a permanent deal after he managed to borrow from Real Madrid last season.
