Tahith Chong opens Jesse Lingard’s promise and talks about the future of Manchester United

Manchester United’s young Tahith Chong has revealed that Jesse Lingard gave him some good advice before joining Birmingham City.

Chong, who played a key role in helping the championship hammer on Luton Town 5-0 Kenilworth Road on Saturday afternoon, joined Birmingham on loan for the 2021/22 campaign earlier this month after completing most of his pre-term work United.

“Some players take me under their game and try to encourage me, while others on the field ask me what they do after practice and take me to eat.

“I think everyone is happy that the restrictions have eased and the fans are nice again. The stadium is making noise again and not just the players screaming at each other.”

Although Chong has been with Birmingham for just a few weeks, almost every Blues fan is already dreaming of making a deal with a permanent deal.

However, Chong is still stuck with his future and insists his main focus at the moment is helping Birmingham.

“It’s very hard to think right now,” he added.

– At the end of the season – I will focus entirely on this Birmingham – I will sit down with anything with United and my family and discuss where we are.

“But now I’m focusing entirely on this.”
