Game Thread 128: Oakland As vs. New York Yankees

Through 2021, there is still a month left, but this certainly feels like a mandatory series from Oakland As. They’ve lost eight out of ten games to drop out of the Wild Card position, and now they’re hosting one of the teams they’re chasing, New York Yankees, four games at the Colosseum.

The Yankees have risen to number one on the Wild card thanks to an 11-game winning streak, so As has a particularly long role to play against the hottest team in the big companies. If they can cool off in New York, Oakland could take a step toward climbing back into the afternoon picture.

Like to start James Kaprielian on a hill. The right-hander faced the Yankees once this year and started the sixth round, winning three wins. He allowed a maid DJ LeMahieu in that game. That same day, Oakland knocked out a New York starter Jameson Taillon on the fifth inning with two runs, including Homer Matt Olson.
