The Oklahoma Sooners ’thin depth of run back apparently eased the event on Thursday. By several reports (including one from the OU Daily), sophomore Tre Bradford and Sooners have gone in different directions.
Bradfords for a short time with the team ended abruptly when he moved on LSU To OU in the spring. The Daily said he left several workouts this week before leaving.
The great disappearance backwards had put Bradford in a position to participate with the Sooners immediately. Five other grants have left the team after the 2020 season:
- Written by Rhamondre Stevenson New England Patriots;
- TJ Pledger moved to Utah;
- Marcus Major was found academically unfit; and
- Coach Lincoln Riley fired Seth McGowan and Mikey Henderson on allegations that they were involved in an armed robbery.
Fortunately, Sooners has a strong one or two strokes on the RB depth chart. Tennessee transfer Eric Gray has earned rave reviews as a double threat to the backfield. Gray rushed a total of nearly 1,300 yards and eight goals in two seasons with the volunteers.
Kennedy Brooks has also returned to the team while sitting a year ago. The Redshirt junior crossed the 1,000-yard mark on the field in 2018 and 2019 and found the finish line a total of 18 times.
Bradford, a Blue-chip potential from Lancaster, Texas, would have been third behind Gray and Brooks. Running back coach DeMarco Murray is now looking for new candidates to lift the stone this fall. Small Walking Shoes Todd Hudson and Jaden Knowles (best known as Weatherman J due to the fact that he is the Chief of Meteorology) can get a shot at the rotation point. H-back Jeremiah Hall could find himself an opportunity to increase his career by a total of seven positions. Student receiver Brian Darby Kuutti as a high school runner, so he would have the opportunity to give an opportunity to interrogate RB.
In the future, OU will have two blue-chip recruits committed to their 2022 class Raleek Brown and Gavin Sawchuck. Losing Bradford gives Murray warmth to add another runner to Group 22, especially considering Brown is likely to split time between RB and WR. You can count on OU to look for a transfer portal for a couple of experienced ball racks during the offseason.
