Football starts the season as volleyball, football comes on the road

The Kansas State national football team seems to continue its success after Austin Peay was on the road on Friday. The team steamed the governors to win the team’s 5-0 second-season victory. The Wildcats are now expecting more road games this week.

First, the Wildcats will continue their journey in Clarksville, Tennessee, receiving Lions from the University of North Alabama. K-State currently has a 2-1-0 record and North Alabama 0-1-2.

Second-year rookie Alice Bussey leads the Lions with his only goal and leads the team with points (2), shots (5), shots (3) and a shot percentage of .200.

The Wildcats will travel again to Denver, Colorado, on Thursday to host Denver in the third game of the road tour. Denver is currently in season 3-0, the latest victory against Utah 3-0.

Senior striker Sydney Sharp leads Denver in goals (2), points (4) and shots (7) as they shoot .286 goals.

Volleyball

After embarking on a trip to the Husker Invitational in Nebraska, the K-State volleyball team will take a short break this week before heading to Santa Barbara, California, to play at the Gaucho Invitational.

The Wildcats (1-1) will compete this coming weekend against three other teams, including Pepperdine (3-0) on Friday night and UC Santa Barbara (1-2) and San Diego State (0-3) on Saturday.

Having made it to the dominant show at Classic City Clash in Athens, Georgia, Pepperdine seems to be continuing his success in a past 3-0 tournament last weekend. Pepperdine senior outsider / opponent Rachel Ahrens has made 50 kills a year, 68.5 points and 15 aces.

UC Santa Barbara is coming for the week at 1-2 after the Panther Invitational last weekend. Gauchot want to gain momentum throughout their opening this weekend.

UC Santa Barbara middle blocker Deni Wilson leads the team with kills (31), sets (14) and points (39).

The Aztecs from the state of San Diego are looking for their first win of the season in Santa Barbara when they went 0-3 at the Bearkat Invitational in Hunstville, Texas last weekend. SDSU senior outside striker Zoi Faki is currently leading the Aztec killings this season by 30.

Each game is broadcast on KMAN / Sunny 102.5.

Football

The college football season is finally here as the Kansas State national football team travels to Arlington, Texas, to receive Cardinal Cardford at AT&T Stadium.

The cardinal will come to this season, finishing 4-2 during the shortened season 2020. Jones finished last season with more than 650 general yards and nine touchdowns.

Stanford will come into the match with a four-match winning streak and the final season will beat UCLA. K-State, on the contrary, has lost the last five games of the 2020 season.

The Wildcats aim to turn things around with a healthy Skylar Thompson who directs the attack and helps Deuce Vaughn and others on the attacking side of the ball.

In defense, the Wildcats seem to be slowing West and Jones with playmakers Jahron McPherson, Khalid Duke and Wayne Jones.
