NFL star Dez Bryant receives the US Open tennis ball from Alexander Zverev

NFL wide receiver Dez Bryant doesn’t just grab football.

When the free agent was on the field of the US Open, tennis player Alexander Zverev fired signed tennis balls for the match – according to tradition – after winning his match.

In the crowd, Bryant grabbed the much smaller yellow ball easily in his share with a two-handed take.

ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter tweeted about the scene: “Alexander Zverev, the world’s No. 4 tennis player who won a gold medal at the Olympics, threw the ball to Dez Bryant. And of course Dez caught it.

The former Cowboys star then went to the Emirates Suite at Arthur Ashe Stadium, sources told us to join VIP members including NHL player Jacob Trouba, designer Christian Siriano, Yankee Aaron Hicks and others.

Sources also said Zverev, 24, was spotted before the US Open kicked off last week in downtown Tao, as well as the 18th anniversary of Jay Z’s 40/40 club.

Guests at the 40/40 Club party said rapper Meek Mill and Fanatics mogul Michael Rubin both asked Zverev to give them Tennis Lessons. Philly’s native Meek and Rubin are well-known amateur competitors on the field. The video came out earlier this year when Meek and Rubin are betting on tennis on vacation with friends, and when the rapper lost, he had to make 300 bunny hops on the field.

Not a word if the tennis star accepted them from the offer.

The 40/40 party also included Beyonc, Megan Thee Stallion, Swizz Beatz, Van Jones, Victor Cruz and Busta Rhymes.

Zverev won the first-round match against Sam Querrey on Tuesday and will play again on Thursday.
