MANILA, Philippines Philippine Paralympic Bronze medalist Josephine Medina has died according to the Philippine Table Tennis Association.
He was 51.
Medina won bronze in the table tennis competition at the Rio Paralympic Olympics in 2016, and became the second Filipino to win a medal in the summer presentation of power plant Adeline Dumapong after bronze in 2000 in Sydney

The PTTF family would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of Joseph Medina, who is the Rio Paralympic Bronze Medal 2016, and posted the PTTF on Facebook on Thursday. Your table tennis family misses you. Rest in the peace of your soul Jo.
The Philippine Sports Commission also expressed its condolences on the social media page.
Medina, born March 20, 1970, was also a skilled paddler at continental and regional level and won four gold medals at the 2008 ASEAN Para Games and gold at the 2017 ASEAN Para Games.
In addition to the championships, Medina won silver in the 2010 and 2018 Asian Para games and bronze in the 2014 edition.
Medina received polio at only eight months of age.
