Notre Dame survives Noles with overtime

FSU football fans waited a long time to see what kind of product Mike Norvell and the coach would introduce to the field in 2021.

On Notre Dame’s opening visit, Noles made some games, but the missed Rigging and blown task gave Notre Dame 7-0 when Jack Coan hit Michael Mayer by entering fourth and short.

One of the biggest questions in the game would be, how would they react to adversity? Well, the FSU attack had a poor field position in every possession, but the FSU defense had a good response to keep Notre Dame goalless for the rest of the first quarter.

The FSU attack is -19 yards on his first two possessions before Jashaun Corbin broke the 89-yard TD tie and tied the match 7-7.

There, the score would remain in the second quarter until FSU stopped on defense and went 45 yards out of four games. Jordan Travis made a two-yard busy touch in the bootleg and led Noles to a 14-7 lead.

Notre Dame responded with a field goal as they dominated their match and cut as early as 14-10, but with the capture of Jordan Travis, Fighting Irish were able to make their second half.

The extra point hit poorly, with FSU moving to a 20-17 lead at 13:36 remaining in the third quarter.
Notre Dame had a questionable reception that wasn’t judged on his next property, and Jack Coan combined a 37-yard touch a couple of games later to raise Notre Dame 24-20 and 11:52 left.

Jordan Travis threw his second abduction into the next possession, a copy of the first abduction.

The FSU defense chose some pressure with opposing verses to force the third and 17. However, the well-timed script gave Notre Dame 55 yards and the first FSU on the 21-yard line.

FSU finally rallied the station to its next property, behind a steady running game in defense of Notre Dame.

The 15-game drive, which ended with a seven-yard pass from Jordan Travis to Andrew Parchment, helped narrow the gap to 38-28 (a two-point conversion was good).

FSU’s defense forced the pound into Notre Dame’s next possession, and the FSU fair caught the ball at the 12-yard line.

Lawrance Toafil’s big run, followed by Jordan Travis ’25-yard scamper, gave Noles a good field position near midfield.

Jordan Travis ’helmet got out of the game, and McKenzie Milton took a hit on Keyshawn Helton after 1017 days of play.
FSU made a touchdown from a wildcat by Treshaun Ward and led 38-35 with 5:36 left!

Noles stopped for the next control of Notre Dame, and McKenzie Milton returned as a quarterback.

A smooth running game and Milton’s improvisation put Noles in the field goal position. Kicker Ryan Fitzgerald scored a 43-yard field goal to level the game after 40 seconds.

Notre Dame got into midfield and launched a hailstorm that Travis Jay intercepted near the 10-yard line to force overtime.

FSU left their field goal attempt and it paid them the game when Notre Dame kicked the field goal to win 41-38.

The difference between the game was three FSU moves and Notre Dame scored three goals from these mistakes.
