Edgbaston announces the Major Match cricket program for 2022

More of the world’s biggest cricket games are coming to Birmingham in 2022, when the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) today announces seven major match days for Edgbaston Stadium next summer.

Edgbaston will host Joe Roots, England’s male spouse LV = Insurance Test Match against South Africa on Thursday 25 – Monday 29 August and mouth-watering Royal London International (ODI) against India on Saturday 9 July.

The venue will also host the largest day on the county’s cricket calendar, with Vitality Blast Finals Day returning to Edgbaston for the 14th time on Saturday, July 16th.

The ballot is now open for all Major Match days at edgbaston.com, and is again the best chance to get tickets to the biggest games in Edgbaston in 2022, or you can guarantee your seat with membership only at Priority Club 25.

Edgbaston and Birmingham are at the heart of the global sports calendar next summer, CEO Stuart Cain said.

Warwickshire members have a chance to win the vote to secure their 2022 membership, which will be sold out on Thursday, September 16 at 10 a.m. Membership renewal packages are scheduled to be available with 2,021 members early next week.

Primary Windows

Members must primarily purchase the best seats at the best price starting on Thursday, September 16 at 10 a.m. Please note that only two tickets per person are available in the member areas.

Borrowers from our canceled matches in 2020 will take first place on Tuesday, September 28th.

Buyers of the Vitality Blast Final Day for 2021 will receive the primary right to purchase tickets for next year’s Final Day at 10pm on Saturday, September 18th.

Voting closes Friday, Oct. 8 at 5 p.m., and winners will be able to purchase tickets next week.

The remaining tickets will go on sale on Tuesday, October 19, starting at 10 a.m.
