CLEVELAND – Milwaukee Brewers came on their first day off for more than two weeks, refreshed by waving timber.
Brewers dropped 10-3 on Cleveland on Friday night by hitting four balls from Progressive Field, one on either side of Eduardo Escobar’s record and Lorenzo Cain’s rising grand slam. .
With the opening of the interleague series, Brewers continued to rise to new heights. For the first time in franchise history, they wake up on Saturday morning with a record of 32 games over .500 (87-55).

BOX POINTS: Breweries 10, Cleveland 3
It was Brewers ’47th road win in a season that tied most of the one-season franchise record set by the 1982 American League champion (47-33). The difference is that this Milwaukee team has 10 road games left to remove this badge.
The strong attack benefited right-handed Adrian Houser, who was leaving the team for the first nine days of play in seven years. Houser returned from a difficult first inning that he hadn’t made, and he gave just one hit over six innings, and two undeserved runs, five walks, and five strokes.
Houser improved his record to 9-6 and reached a solid average of 3.25. More important to the team is that the breweries start 16-7.
The first set was defended by defensive defenses on both sides. Brewers striker Kolten Wong hit the composition of the right-hand Eli Morgan, moving second in a deep flight to the right from Escobar and third with a grounding to Christian Yelich first.
When Avisaíl García strikes, catcher Ryan Lavarnway blocked the field in the dirt and, without thinking, poured down his mask with rules no-no. After receiving an error, Wong scored the third goal for the 1-0 lead.
A short stop by Luis Urías, who was still playing instead of injured Willy Adames, the error-prone first set led to Houser’s 32-yard. Urías threw wildly first with Myles Straw’s starting ground, and Straw quickly swept into second.
After Amed Rosario was shortened, José Ramirez worked at Houser for a walk and then combined with Straw in a double warehouse. Houser hit Franmil Reyes ’3-2 curve ball in the dirt, which should have been third, but Bobby Bradley — a .217-batsman — tore in the middle of the first sinker on the field for two.
Urías then allowed Yu Chang’s high limit to get rid of the two-base error. Houser walked to Bradley Zimmer to load the bases before finally escaping when Lavarnway landed into force at the second moment.
Two errors raised the total for Urías for the season to 23, and there were at least two of the five games.
The brewers provided a great opportunity to at least smooth out even slip off in the second batch. Daniel Vogelbach, who acted as DH, led the walk, but was only able to advance to third with Rowdy Tellez at twice the height of the raised wall in the middle left, holding on if caught.
With the runners in second and third and one down, Brewers had the opportunity to take advantage of the fact that the thrower was not in the lineup. But No. 9 striker Lorenzo Cain made a third stroke — not-not in that situation — and Wong hit a soft liner in the third run of the runners.
But the breweries did not give in to Morgan. Omar Narváez led the fourth by doubling the right corner of the field and Urías matched his defensive hiccups with a steep two-piece homer to the left, raising his reputation 3-2.

With this Homer, the 24-year-old Urías became the seventh player in franchise history to have produced at least 20 seasons before turning 25 years old. Prince Fielder did it three times, Ryan Braun twice, and Sixto Lezcano, Robin Yount, Dale Sveum, and JJ Hardy once.
The bombing continued as Escobar blew Morgan’s first fifth field to the right during his 26th game of the season. The biggest home fighter was just coming, but only before another running-scoring disruption bothered Lavarnway, who knocked down the Urías bat, the bottoms of which were later loaded in batches.
That would be all for Morgan, who surrendered to leftist Sam Hentges. He played Tellez, but Cain delivered this time by smashing a 423-foot grand slam deep to the left to open the game and Brewers lead 9-2.
The home run Derby continued for Brewers in the sixth as Escobar led the second consecutive set with the first field homer. This time, he did it by hitting right-handedly, and became the first Milwaukee striker to achieve this achievement after Jonathan Villar in 2016.
