The pipe will explode above the FedEx field and soak Washington Football Team fans

It’s not been easy for fans of the Washington national football team in recent years – you know, the lost record, the franchise is controversial and the entire NFC East division is often referred to as “trash” for its poor performance all last season – and Sunday was no exception.

At the opening of the Washington season against visiting Los Angeles Chargers at FedEx Field, a series of unfortunate events took place. Ryan Fitzpatrick left the field with a smile on his face as he was substituted 20 minutes into the game, as his team was in the lead.

From there, things progressed as well as tired WFT fans expected: The increased defense didn’t look; Washington compassed on its own 3-yard line; it left a critical field goal and abandoned 14 of 18 third-stage conversions; and some fans went out when the tube in the stadium broke.

Add your best spam here. Luckily for several anxious fans, the team spokesman confirmed to ESPN Washington reporter John Keim that the substance was rainwater — not wastewater — and that fan tickets were upgraded to the suite level for the team’s remaining 20-16 loss to Justin Herbert & Co.

“The leak came from a rainwater-filled storage tank. We gave section fans the opportunity to move into the suite throughout the game, and we plan to give them tickets to the games of their choice. They were also given Washington Football Team equipment,” a WFT spokesman told Keim.
