The ODESSA-Midland High tennis team won an 18-1 District 2-6A victory over Odessa High at the Ratliff Tennis Complex on Tuesday.
MHS coach Tom Heiting said his team quickly started by winning all seven of their doubles.
“I was a little surprised at how willing our players were to go there and take the initiative,” Heiting said. “You always want it as a coach, but as a team we saw some growth and self-confidence because they were willing to take the necessary action.”
MHS improved 5-4 overall and 1-1 in the circuit game and next hosted Wolfforth Frenship on Saturday.
