Victor Faust could “surpass” Oleksandr Usyk when he becomes Ukraine’s biggest threat to the British heavyweight world champion, says Erol Ceylan.

Usyk will challenge Anthony Joshua to the WBA, IBF and WBO Championships at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday 25 September at the Sky Sports Box Office.

However, Faust could set his claim as a dangerous new competitor when he performs in Tyson Fury’s third WBC championship match against Deontay Wilder 9. October.

“For Victor, it’s an ideal opportunity to present himself to a global audience on the big stage,” said Erol Ceylan, a promoter who guides Faust’s career.

“I’m sure the audience will love him and the way he fists.”

The unbeaten 29-year-old recently made a trip to the Usyk training camp when the former undisputed cruise weight champion sparred over his impending confrontation with Joshua.

Faust is naturally larger than Usyk, stands 6 ′ 5 ″ tall, and has also trained alongside Wladimir Klitschko.

Faust, the gold medalist at the 2017 European Championships, ended his amateur career shortly after winning against Clemente Russo, who was in the opposite corner when Usyk won Olympic gold in London in 2012.

“I’m sure Victor will become a world champion and that he will even surpass Usyk,” Ceylan said.

Faust currently has an unbeaten record of seven battles with five knockouts before his next battle against American Mike Marshall in Fury vs Wilder 3.

He will be accompanied by three invincible rivals as Jared Anderson also returns to the T-Mobile Arena, while Efe Ajagba and Frank Sanchez are compromising their perfect records when fighting each other in Las Vegas.
