Alabama Mens Tennis concludes Alabama’s Four-In-The-Fall opening day

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. The Alabama men’s tennis team began its season on Friday and opened the Alabama Four-In-The-Fall tournament at the Alabama Tennis Stadium.

Crimson Tide started the day with three double teams who found wins. Enzo Aguiard and Filip Planinsek Memphis duo David Stevenson and Jeremy Taylor 6-2. Patrick Kaukovalta and German Samofalov went 6-3 against Oscar Cubitt and Pau Fanloas João Ferreira and Juan Martin won the championship 6-1 against Pablo Alemany Malea and Harry Rock.

In singles, Tide won five of seven matches, and Planinsek led by two, 7-5, 6-3 against Stevenson. Samofalov fought three sets against Alemanya 6-3, 4-6, 6-3 and Christiansen defeated Sam Edgar 7-5, 2-6, 6-4. Ferreira won a three-round win against Taylor, which included a second-round draw. Ferreira won the match 3-6, 7-6 (6), 7-5. Aguiard finished the day and beat Cutting 6-3, 6-7 (2), 6-4.

UA will be back tomorrow on the second day of the Four-In-The-Fall in Alabama and matches will begin at 10 p.m.
