English test star Craig Overton has had one of the most frustrating days in the office he will ever be.

The fast bowler ended the opening day of the Somersets Division 1 County Cricket match against Warwickshire with 0/57 and his character finally exploded in the final game when he attempted to dismiss Mankad, which has aroused contempt from some of the pockets of the cricket world.

Overton was described as running out of Matthew Lamb through a controversial dismissal when the striker did not leave a wrinkle before the ball left the bowlers.

Overton had previously warned the Lamb, but later removed the bales in a similar situation.

The lamb ran out before the judge asked Somerset captain Tom Abell if the team wanted to continue his official appeal.

Abell then withdrew the complaint.

By ESPN Cricinfo Journalist George Dobell, a small audience, bullied Overton after the incident.

It ended a miserable day for Overton, who seemed angry right from the start of the day when he endured a “embarrassing burst of less than sporting petulance.

Overton had the hardest day of the Somerset attack at 0/57 when Warwickshire finished opening day 4/283.

Sam Hain did the most damage to Warwickshire, not returning 83 on Wednesday night.

Just a week after Cameroon cricketer Maeva Douma dismissed four Ugandan batsmen using controversial Mankad tactics in one turn during the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup qualifiers in Africa.

The term Mankading, used when a bowler runs out of non-striker before delivery, was coined 70 years ago when Indian great Vinoo Mankad ran Bill Brown twice for bowlers at the end of an Australian tour of India in 1947. It has remained a controversial sport ever since.
