The Palmer Ridge field hockey team is a unique team

Palmer Ridge’s field hockey has just crushed it. Eleven games a season, they have only lost once. They are the sixth in the state. You can keep them away for a while, but when they score a goal, they just start pouring it on, One of my old teammates, he graduated, but he always called us secretariats because we started slowly, and then the other half of the game we would kill it and start kicking the prey, says Julianna Strickling. The key to success? They are really cool. They work hard, but are really cool. “That’s why I love this. I love playing field hockey every year. This group, it’s so much fun. We can take it to the end. We’re a great team and we can compete, but at the end of the day, it’s just a really fun team environment,” says Laine Satterlee.

They have this new song they do in the games. Hazah! It perfectly describes the team: “I worked at Renaissance festivals and raised it once, and everyone started laughing, so we’ve done so during the game,” says Strickling. Hannah Hermann adds, “They probably thought it was weird, but that’s it. It could certainly be scary, but I think we’re all such bubbling people that it becomes more than just funny and weird, but that’s OK. I think good. Sometimes you don’t want to be on the main team. Do you want to be nice people? “
