Girls Tennis: River Valley knocked out Galion 4-1

CALEDONIA-River Valley won the Galion 4-1 Central Ohio Sports Conference girls tennis competition on Thursday, September 23rd in Caledonia.

Emma Ross continued to win this season and took Lady Tigers ’lone win. He won the singles No. 2 6-0, 6-1. Ross is now 15-5 this season since his last win.

Lydia McCabe dropped the 6-0, 6-1 decision in the No. 1 series.

Kadence Fairchild lost her single match No. 3, 6-4, 6-0.

In the duel, Emma Maguire and Taylor Henry lost in the duel No. 1, 6-2, 7-5.

In two doubles, Keiah Coulter and Kenzie Bowman lost a tough match 7-6 (7-5 ​​ticbreaker), 6-4.

Galion is scheduled to host Pleasant on Tuesday at Heise Park. The match is at 16.15

Lady Tigers will host Bucyrus on Wednesday at Heise Park. The match is at 16.15

The MOAC girls ’tennis tournament is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 30 and Saturday, Oct. 2 at the Lakewood Racquet Club in Lexington. The double tournament will be played on Thursday from 10 a.m. The single-player tournament will be played on Saturday from 8 p.m.

Galion will end the regular season game on Tuesday, October 5 with a home game against Madison. The match is at 4.15pm at Heise Park.

The Division II tournament will be held on October 7 and 9 at Shelby High School. Elsewhere in the Shelby section are Bucyrus, Tiffin Calvert, Clear Fork, Edison, Lexington, Mansfield Senior, Ontario, Shelby, Upper Sandusky and Willard.
