Medium Penn Conference Dandy Dozen sees representation from each field hockey group

The former Fab Five list has been expanded to include other fixed field hockey programs in Central Pennsylvania.

Dandy Dozen places the top trends of the Mid-Penn Conference regardless of rating. The teams are listed in descending order and previous ranking.

Here is Dandy Dozen on September 28:

12. Susquehanna Township (Capital Region)

Susquehanna Township is involved in the game. At least seven of its players have scored a goal this season, including Ava Waters, 4 goals; Kate Ferguson, 3 goals; and Abry Klinger, 3 goals. Ferguson, who leads the Mid-Penn Conference with the most passes, has 10. Behind him is teammate Sarah Hendricks, 3. Hayley Campbell has a solid 17 fights in the backfield. Susquehanna Township is new on the list.

11. Bishop McDevitt (Colonial Department)

The eye-catching Bishop McDevitts field hockey team deserves some Ws. This season, at least eight different players have scored a goal so far. Among them is Delani Kulina, who has scored three goals. Maddi Donmoyer has made three passes. Kalea Ferguson keeps it in a cage and 8 fights are saved. Bishop McDevitt is new on the list.

10. East Pennsboro (Keystone Division)

With the most polished players in the Keystone division, East Pennsboro doesn’t allow anyone to walk around. Senior Alison Buffington, who is committed to playing St. However, is not alone. From front to back, where you’ll find Alexa Johnson in a cage, the Panthers give their best in every game. Buffington has 9 goals; and Asia Daskalakis, 6 goals Input: Kirstin Sconyers, 6; and, Buffington, 4. Johnson has had 90 fights. Panthers is new on the list.

9. State College (Commonwealth)

The beauty of the 2021 State College team is that coach Sharon Herlocher says there are a lot of players. Ten of the small Lions have scored goals this season, and six have had winning goals in six of the team’s wins. The whole positive but competitive energy that this group of student athletes brings day in and day out is awesome to coach, Herlocher said. State College is new on the list.

8. Hershey (Keystone Division)

Hershey has faced a learning curve this year. The team’s new coach, Savanna Lenker, is seemingly the biggest fan supporting their growth to see the bigger picture on the field. Games against its biggest rivals, Lower Dauphin and Palmyra, Hershey was unable to score goals. But they do score. Best scorer: Roma Orris, 4 goals; Riley Welsch, 4 goals; Anne Gardner, 3 goals Most entry points: Roma Orris, 4; Cara Cronin, 3 and Anne Gardner, 3. Goalkeeper Taryn Dinello defeated an impressive 38 times. The team will drop from No. 5 on the Fab Five list to No. 8 on the expanded Dandy Dozen list this week.

7. Boiling Springs (colonial area)

The Bubblers were also among the teams that had a slow start to the season due to a shortage of officials, but they have begun to find a foothold. Boiling Springs lost its division to rivals Northern, but the talent gap between them and the polar bears is not large. Last weekend, the winner of his home tournament, Boiling Springs, defeated both Greencastle-Antrim and East Pennsboro. In terms of goals, Genna Bush is in the last 3 games. Bubblers are new on the list.

6. North York (Colonial Region)

Polar bears massage both aggressively and defensively. Nordic players are not afraid of points on the table: Abigail Simpson, 6 goals; Brynn Crouse, 5 goals; and Olivia Caperelli, 4 goals. Players show that they are a team, and they also increase their passes: Crouse, 5, and Olivia Morris, 4. Standing in a cage, Gwen Baublitz has recorded 11 times. 5. Central Dawn (Commonwealth Division)

The Rams have dropped one slot to fifth last week as it ranks 4th and will remain a competitor in 2021. Against power plants like Palmyra, Central Dauphin has a few improvements that match or dominate the game compared to the players tested. Scoring is not a problem for Rams as they have found a cage for every game they have played this fall. Central Dauphin also has a great record with only one loss mentioned.

4. Mechanicsburg (Keystone Division)

Stopping crimes from the right side is not an easy task. But the Wildcats trio were able to pull it out of all the Lower Dauphin teams. Natalie Wilson, Alana Shimp and Gracyn Catalano made it look like they were dancing on their left side when they regained possession a few times, sending the ball back to their fouls on the right side. Mechanicsburg is new on the list.

3. Cumberland Valley (Commonwealth Division)

The Eagles will continue their quality hockey and keep them in third place for another week. Junior Sammi Blocher hangs at the top of the Mid-Penn Conference and scored the most goals in 2021. Cumberland Valley jumps at the right time.

2. Palmyra (Keystone Division)

Creativity and simplicity combined with teamwork is one way to portray the highly talented Palmyra team in 2021. Expect Cougars to change some movements on Tuesday as they receive Ala-Dauphin at home. A tough team of quick thinkers is also in the winning streak. Palmyra is again No. 2 this week.

1. Ala -Dauphin (Keystone Division)

The Falcons will remain invincible in 2021. Surrendering just 4 goals, one of Lower Dauphins ’strengths will play as a single unit. The team will have a big test on Tuesday, the second match against Palmyra. LD is still number one, like the last two weeks.
