The Asian Table Tennis Games begin

The Qatar men’s team defeated the UAE and Mongolia, but did not make the playoffs after losing to Saudi Arabia in a team competition on the opening day of the Asian Table Tennis Championships at Lusail Sports Hall. Meanwhile, the Qatar women’s team lost both of their group matches to Uzbekistan and Mongolia. The semi-finals will be played today. In the men’s tournament, South Korea will meet Hong Kong and Iran against India. Goodbye Japan and Chinese Taipei will know their opponents after the group stage matches end this morning. In the women’s team event, Hong Kong will face Chinese Taipei, while Thailand will face the Korean quarterfinals. Japan and Singapore are waiting for the last eight opponents.
