Are there any qualifications left?

The Arizona Wildcats will be holding walking trials on Tuesday, Oct. 12 at Arizona Stadium, allowing current UA students to see if they have what it takes to earn a place on the team.

The Arizonas list currently has 116 players, more than 20 of whom are walkers. During the training camp, the Wildcats put on three defensive backs (Rourke Freeburg, Treydan Stukes and Jaydin Young) and two of the team’s most experienced players (recipient) Stanley Berryhill III and in the middle Josh McCauley) began their UA career on foot.

You’re always looking for talent, UA’s defensive line coach Ricky Hunley said. If a guy can do something special once, he should be able to repeat it.

To be eligible to participate, participants must register as a full-time student and register with the NCAA Eligibility Center. They must also provide evidence of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test, as well as the results of sickle and ECG tests and a physical exam within the last six months.

Trial packages are available here and must be returned on Monday, October 4th.
